Catherine Yi

When asking someone to remember Cat, inevitably, the first thing they will mention is her laugh.  Cat’s laugh was infectious, and when you looked at her, you immediately understood that she was one of those people that lived for the moment and completely loved life.  Passionate, caring, intelligent, and strong, she was a wonderful person and scientist.  Her growth as both a bird biologist and a person was a privilege to witness.  Cat was wonderful, and we want to remember her always.  It was a pleasure to know her and simply being in her light made the world feel like a better place.  Cat’s thesis titled, “The Differential Reproductive Performance of Female Tree Swallows, Tachycineta bicolor,” was published posthumously, but the heart and soul that went into this passion project will remain.  We were so lucky to have her in our lab family. Please join us in remembering Catherine Yi.  We will always be thinking of her and sending love to her family and friends.
